Cookie policy
Last updated October 10, 2026
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser; we use the word for similar technology too, such as browser storage and tracking pixels. This page lists what Equiny’s website and web app use and how you can control it. Read it with the privacy policy.
Necessary
These make the site and the app work and keep them secure. They are always on, and we use them only for these purposes.
| Cookie | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
| equiny.session_token (and related Equiny sign-in cookies) | Keeps you signed in | 30 days |
| eq_fs | Remembers your answers while you take the care check | 30 days |
| eq_no_share | Remembers that ads must not be measured for this browser: your opt-out, or that you visit from the EU, the EEA, the UK or Switzerland | 2 years |
| Cloudflare security cookies | Protect the site from attacks and bots | Up to 30 minutes |
The web app also keeps your sign-in and a few settings in your browser’s storage. When you pay, you do so on Stripe’s own page, which sets its own cookies to prevent fraud; see Stripe’s privacy policy.
Advertising and analytics
These load only when you visit from outside the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, have not opted out, and your browser does not send the Global Privacy Control signal.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| _fbp, _fbc | Meta | Tell Meta that a visit or purchase came from its ad | 90 days |
| _ttp | TikTok | The same for TikTok ads, when we advertise there | 13 months |
| _ga, _ga_* | Counts visits for Google Analytics, when we use it | 2 years |
Alongside the Meta Pixel, our server tells Meta about the same events through its Conversions API, under the same rules: when the pixels are off for you, our server sends nothing either. What we send is described in section 4 of the privacy policy.
Your choices
- Opt out of ad measurement on the Your privacy choices page.
- Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, which we treat as an opt-out.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies stops sign-in and the care check from working.
Changes
We update this page whenever we add or remove a tool. The date at the top shows the current version. Questions: [email protected].
